Welcome to Edward M. Ledden's personal blog. Here I will try to give you a brief outline of who I am, of my professional experience and of some of my most prominent references.
Born in the city of New York (U.S.A.) and with permanent residence in Barcelona (Spain) since May, 1965, I studied Foreign Service and Translation in the U.S.A., graduating in January, 1965. That same year I studied Spanish Language and Culture at the University of Barcelona. After traveling for a while and being employed by several private commercial companies full time, as well as translation agencies as a freelance translator, for the purpose of applying and expanding my linguistic knowledge and acquiring practical experience, I decided to launch my career as a
freelance technical translator in 1969. I entered the audiovisual (motion picture) field with Peter Sellers' film "The Pink Panther Strikes Again", extracting the dialogues from the screen, without a written dialogue list. And now, after so many years in this profession, I have decided to START to build this blog.

ads and spots, documentaries,
and short feature films.
These voice overs include spots for

as Escuela Massana, the Quirón Hospital,
Leche Pascual, various
official tourism organizations,
town councils, etcetera.
